During the visit, the delegation from Lublin took part in a series of meetings and study visits alongside the project implementation team in Chișinău. A key highlight of the visit was the signing of a Cooperation Agreement between the General Directorate for Urban Mobility in Chișinău and the Authority for Roads and Public Transport in Lublin. The agreement was signed by Dorin Ciornîi, Acting Head of the General Directorate for Urban Mobility in Chișinău, and Grzegorz Malec, Director of the Authority for Roads and Public Transport in Lublin. The event was also attended by Olga Lozan, Manager of the “MOVE IT like Lublin” project, who emphasized the importance of international partnerships in modernizing public transport and aligning it with European standards.
Among the objectives outlined in the agreement are: the development of sustainable urban mobility and public transport; the application of modern solutions for transport infrastructure; the creation of effective parking and traffic management policies; and the ongoing exchange of best practices and know-how in urban transport system management.
As part of the visit program, the delegation from Lublin visited the Traffic Monitoring Center of the General Directorate for Urban Mobility, where modern systems for real-time data collection and analysis were presented. Discussions focused on innovative solutions for improving traffic flow and increasing road safety, based on the experiences of both cities.
The Polish delegation also visited the Municipal Enterprise “Chișinău Electric Transport Authority,” where topics included maintenance of electric transport infrastructure, fleet management, and addressing common challenges related to sustainable mobility.
Another important stop was at the Municipal Enterprise “City Bus Park,” where the first bus testing station in Chișinău was presented. Covering an area of 168 m², the station is dedicated to annual technical inspections. The delegation was informed about the latest investments in infrastructure modernization and the European standards being implemented to improve service quality.
